Some parts are a little noisy and a lot of older people use it as you can We had the roasts - mum had Turkey and could not eat it all. I had pork and lamb.
Veggies were great as well. Previously stayed in one of the older rooms on a lower floor - these are not great. Breakfast delivered to the room was Staff are nice, but check out took forever with bill having to be redone several times.
OMG simply the worse buffet dinner we've EVER experienced. The choice was ordinary however the food was just tasteless and boring.
Surely as one of the main tourist attractions in the state you can do better than this poor excuse for a buffet dinner?
Even the people on the table next to us were mortified, they filled up on the bread rolls and then left. We were sick and tired of watching the 2 chefs come out and walk around the buffet simply to ogle the diners.
If your not clean - stay in the kitchen. River view rooms are 5,6,7,8. First time I stayed here I had no heating on level 13 in winter, so very cold with only a small fan heater.
This time on level 6 we were in a newly renovated room which was great. Wow, basic but tasty food, and served hot, chips were hot, chicken snitzel was hot, most places have not idea on serving a hot meal, well done chefs great job.
Wrest point was great, got the spring special with executive king room, bed super comfy, total blackout curtains, bathroom marble, super clean, had an amazing stay will def be back.

My principal concern was that are no disabled rest room facilities on the 17th floor and even though it is promoted as having wheel chair access I had to go down to ground floor level to find a disabled restroom.
Was a lovely experience looking out across the views. Value for money with the set menu. We were going to have our choices anyway. Not only the view is outstanding but the overall quality and the presentation of the dishes are amazing.
Really lovely staff and we were positioned perfectly to get the full view of the water before the sun went down. Food was fantastic and will definitely go back as soon as possible.
Overall it was a nice experience. The service and ambiance were very good. I am Not sure if we would return. Felt so disappointed in my steak, which should have been a special treat at that price.
We enjoyed our wedding anniversary dinner at the Point revolving restaurant and we were blown away with the service and the food was delicious, highly recommend.
A special spot in Hobart to take in the sights while enjoying great food, drinks and service. This was delicious. All cooked to perfection. Dessert was a little under par, the French pastry dessert was lacking in taste and texture and overall a disappointment, but the crepe suzettes and poached pear was good.
The service by our waiter was excellent and all other staff. It was wonderful to come back to the Point to sit back and admire the view as we rotating slowing around our beautiful city.
Lovely venue for a special occasion. For a special occasion, you must try this at least once. Definitely choose the flamed steak and prawns at the table.
Overall a really wonderful evening. Prices are The service was excellent - attentive, polite, pleasant - as always. The views are excellent, despite the rain and clouds.
We were disappointed to be seated right next to another table of two diners - who were loud and even made a phone call during Initially we were the only two tables of diners - I suspect diners are placed next to each other for ease of serving by staff, but when a place is half empty it would be great to have a buffer of space between diners.
Much better for the diners, and the diners surely are the most important people in a restaurant. For the first time ever in my experience the meals were disappointing.
We were there for lunch with some friends, and our first surprise was that it was a fixed menu. There were plenty of choices but I had not realised the menu was not a la carte.
I have a small appetite and could not do justice to two courses, let alone three, so much of my food was wasted - the servings were always generous.
The amuse-bouche was excellent - a great start. Entrees of quail, sashimi and goat's feta were all very good. For mains, apparently the duck that two of our party had was very good.
The disappointment was with the fish dish, blue eye trevalla. My experience with blue eye has always been excellent, but I found this dish close to inedible.
The assortment of flavours seemed disjointed and at odds with each other. Some flavour was tainting the fish, so instead of a delicate fish flesh we were confronted with a strange-tasting fish.
Had this been my first ever experience with blue eye I would never eat it again! Desserts chocolate tart, pavlova, cheese were mostly fully devoured, however I found the chocolate tart leaning too much to non-sweet.
The tart itself and the ice cream were tasty, but the coffee gel and two varieties of soil were bitter and not pleasant to my palate.
I was sorry that the meals for two of our group of four were less than satisfactory, especially given that I had recommended this restaurant as somewhere very special.
We might be back some day, but in future I think I'd prefer to stick to evening dining with the a la carte menu and not the fixed 2 or 3 course lunch menu.
My wife and I went for dinner for our wedding anniversary. The staff are very friendly and professional. The location is beautiful and the food is to die for.
